The new VW ID Range: EVUp's Comprehensive Dealership EV Charging Solution
Our latest project takes us to the flagship Volkswagen dealership in Essendon, Victoria, where we deployed a comprehensive EV charging solution to help welcome in the new VW ID range.
A quick look at the Volkwagen SUV ID range and what to expect:
The anticipated ID range is slated to roll into the dealership in December 2024.
Blending cutting-edge technology with Volkswagen's renowned commitment to quality and innovation, the range includes the compact ID.3 perfect for urban commuting and the spacious ID.4 and ID.5 SUVs that offer exceptional performance and versatility. Drivers can expect impressive electric range, rapid acceleration, and state-of-the-art features such as advanced driver-assistance systems and intuitive infotainment options. The ID range is set to redefine the EV driving experience, providing sustainable, zero-emission vehicles without compromising on style or comfort. With sleek designs and groundbreaking technology, the Volkswagen ID range is poised to lead the charge in the electric vehicle revolution.
Here's what the EVUp treatment looks like:
The dealership is now equipped with cutting-edge Delta DC ultra fast charging stations, ideal for staff vehicles to come in to the dealership and charge up, without slowing down the fleet. Alongside standard AC chargers, including the zappi, the comprehensive solution means that VW Essendon can provide paid charging for customers and ensuring quick turnaround times for dealership operations.
Customer Convenience
The new charging infrastructure will enhance the customer experience, allowing EV owners to charge their vehicles while exploring the latest Volkswagen models. This integration of sales and service creates a seamless experience, promoting the adoption of electric vehicles.
Integrating UpCharge means the dealership has added a new stream of hands free revenue. The charging sessions can be monitored remotely, with everything from prices and charging rates controlled from a single pane of glass.
Crucial to this solution is the integration of UpCharge's whitelisting capability. This means that the dealership can set paid charging rates for customers, while allowing staff vehicles to charge for free. The management software also means that staff vehicle charging sessions can be viewed and monitored, tracking usage data to inform future charging strategy.
The Path to a Sustainable Future
The work at the Volkswagen dealership in Essendon is more than just an installation; it’s a transformative step towards sustainable automotive practices. As EVUp integrate these advanced EV charging solutions, the dealership is poised to support a growing fleet of electric vehicles, catering to the increasing demand from environmentally conscious consumers.
