Porsche Taycan - incredibly quick but how do you charge this amazing electric car?

The Taycan is equipped with a CCS2 Combo / Type 2 Mennekes connector. The Type 2 Mennekes connector is what’s typically used at home and at destination chargers.

The Taycan comes with an 11kw home charger included which will be able to charge the vehicle in around 6 hours. This suits both overnight charging and top ups between trips to work or the shops.

Which electric charge port does the Taycan use?

The Taycan is equipped with Type 2 & CCS charge ports. The Type 2 Mennekes connector is what’s typically used at charge the car at home and at destination chargers. The CCS2 combination port allows for fast DC charging as well as the standard AC charging.
